My name is Ellen (although, my friends call me Ditty) and I am a self-professed homebody.
At least, that is what I am some of the time. I do love (more than anything) hanging out at home…but I also like to leave. And I am, at the very least, moderately adventurous. For starters, I live in China and eat street food on a fairly regular basis. That qualifies as moderately adventurous, right?
The thing is that I LOVE homes…I love decorating them, pretending like I can afford to buy them and drinking wine in them. I love when homes are full; of friends, family, sweet vintage furniture, colorful art, vibrant music, playful dogs but, most importantly, love. And I love the challenge and process of making a home feel like, well, home. Even when you live very far away from anything that remotely resembles “home”.
This blog is about my home and those that live in it: me, my amazing hubby Brado, our cute little kiddos Beau and Finley.
It is about trying to navigate life and its many back roads: motherhood, life abroad, wifehood(?) and new-fangled technology (Photoshop, WordPress…accck!). It is about documenting the very mundane and the occasionally exotic. But mostly it is about becoming better. Basically, think of it like a home (and body and soul) improvement blog.
I’m so happy you found your way here!
